Remember to Fly

by Madeleine Lesieutre

What makes a butterfly fly?
Is it the way the flowers wait quietly by?
The flowers so gently watch and observe;
As the butterflies fly with all the nerve.

What makes a butterfly fly?
Is it the sight of a great blue sky?
The sky so unreachable, so bright;
Even in the still of night.

What makes a butterfly fly?
Is it only a simple effort to try?
When everything seems so hard and you think you might cry;
Remember the butterflies and know that you can fly, if only you try.
